Paola Villa is an award-winning economist, humanitarian, and follower of Jesus whose life has been shaped by both resilience and faith. Born in Colombia, 1989. Her childhood was shaped by an intimate understanding of what happens when ideologies turn into terror. After immigrating to the United States, Paola excelled academically and later studied International Affairs and Economics. Paola has become a respected voice in global economics. She has lectured and paneled multiple times at the United Nations, advised leaders on famine, war, religious persecution, and economic destabilization, and spoken boldly in defense of Christian communities targeted for extinction. Her research confronts governments that violate religious freedom and demonstrates the economic consequences of suppressing the Church. Her advocacy centers on Christian women and girls trafficked and sold as brides who watched their fathers executed for their faith. Her work has earned her: the U.S. Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, the Global Humanitarian Award from the United Nations Women Foundation, and an Honorary Doctorate for her academic contributions.
